Export the data actually sent to Google. A shop's standard product CSV often has different headers. This checker expects fields such as id, title, link, image_link, availability and price.
PRODUCT DATA, WITHOUT THE GUESSWORK
A practical preflight check for ecommerce teams. Turn a product-feed export into a prioritised fix list, before the next upload.

01 / THE FREE TOOL
Use a Google-format CSV or TSV export, up to 10,000 products / 5 MB. Standard store exports may need column mapping first. This version does not read XML.
Ready when you are. No file has been loaded.
| Row | Product ID | Level | Field | Next action |

Checks missing core fields, duplicate IDs, field lengths, URL structure, price formatting, availability values and identifier checksums. “Review” means context is needed, not that Google will reject a product. Rows refer to logical records including the header; quoted multiline fields can span physical lines.
It does not fetch links or images, inspect account policies, confirm currency validity beyond format, verify GTIN ownership, check every category-specific requirement, or compare your website with your feed. Brand, variants, shipping, tax and market-specific rules still need review in Merchant Center. No Google affiliation.
02 / PROPOSED PILOT SERVICE
For small agencies that want a readable issue list and a record of what changed—not another feed-editing platform.
Human-reviewed delivery. No automatic monitoring or account access. You retain responsibility for changes and approval checks.
03 / FIELD NOTES
Export the data actually sent to Google. A shop's standard product CSV often has different headers. This checker expects fields such as id, title, link, image_link, availability and price.
A correctly formatted price can still be wrong. Compare it with the live product page and checkout. Never invent a barcode to make a warning disappear.
Compare exports after a catalogue update. Unexpected removals, currency changes and stock-status changes deserve investigation. Then check the outcome in Merchant Center.
04 / PILOT BRIEF
Proposed first step: a £49 one-off review of one export, up to 1,000 products, with a fix list and one follow-up check. No ongoing commitment. Monthly service would be a separate decision.
Pre-launch: enquiries and checkout are not enabled. The operator must approve the business identity, service terms, contact address and payment arrangements before accepting work.
A useful brief includes your platform, approximate product count, target country, the problem you are seeing and your preferred outcome. Do not include passwords, customer records or payment details.
